The homeowners chose a beautiful combination of Kraftmaid's Midnight for their lower cabinets and stained cherry for their upper ones. The room is visible from the living room and the homeowners love the look.  

One of the cooks is short and requested a section with a "lower than normal" counter.  She says that is her favorite part.  Her second favorite is the efficient storage, like trays above the refrigerator, motion-sensing double trash bins, roll trays, and pull-outs throughout.
